Do you find yourself stopping to admire a beautiful sunset?
Have you noticed how time seems to stand still for just a moment or two when you do?
And your soul is refreshed?
A sunset is such an everyday (possibly ordinary) occurence. Or is it?
The only difference between an extraordinary life and an ordinary one
is the extraordinary pleasures you find in ordinary things.
~ Veronique Vienne
This weekend…look for ordinary things in which you can find extraordinary pleasures.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your kind words, Eileen! 🙂
Happy weekend to you too!!
Wow……what a gorgeous sunset you were gifted with! As a lover or sunrises and sunsets, I’m all about stealing those few moments when time seems to stop and move with a brilliance none can replicate..to just BE. And sicne this morning brings me a gray filled sky with no peeking room for the sun, this..THIS…..is a wonderful, welcomed thing!
And the message in it…..sublime.
Blessings to you and yours–and have an awe-filled day!
And Mel….the camera did not even capture a fraction of the intense beauty. I think it was the most magnificent one ever. Truly. I think I have a new hobby…walking at sunset in hopes of capturing the beauty on camera whenever possible. We’ll see. 😀
What a truly charming idea for a blog! I am always surprised how starving the world is for positivity. How lovely that you are pumping the world full of it! I think I will be visiting often, so thanks for finding me so I could find you! It’s funny how things work.
Best Wishes,
Marian
You are so sweet! Thank YOU Marian!! I can’t remember where I was, but I read your comment there and was compelled to come over for a visit. Thanks for stopping by and leaving such kind words.
May your weekend be filled with goodness and joy!
What a lovely site you have here! I’m visiting from SITS – and I couldn’t agree more with you! Finding extraordinary pleasure out of the ordinary is seeing God’s hand in everything! Have a beautiful weekend 🙂
And isn’t that a form of worship and praise?
Thanks Emily Lynne, for taking the time to come by and share your kind words.
May your weekend by Extraordinary!
I love that quote — my life is all about that! And your picture is definitely of an extraordinary sunset!
Thanks Sallie! If you could have seen it. My camera could not capture the actual depth of color. My husband declared it to be the most magnificent ever. And have lived on Lake Michigan we have enjoyed many stunning sunsets in the past. I think he might be right.
Yay for living an Extraordinary life! 😀

What a gorgeous sky and I love the quote… how true it is! I’m so glad you came by to share on Weekly Top Shot #66!
It was an incredible sky….more lovely and intense and brilliant than my simple lense of capable of capturing. But….I think it is burned in my memory forever. Wish you could have seen it too!
Blessings!

I’m so grateful for the extraordinary all around us. And for the blessing of ‘eyes’ to see it, too. Always, Jennifer…it’s a joy to be in your company!
Today, I took a few moments to truly enjoy watching the wind blow through an open window. It was so joyful watching the curtains sway in the breeze!
What a wonderful post. Thank you.
Have a blessed week.
It will be many months before I see my curtains blow in the breeze. But, I love the word picture you painted. Just think of his spirit blowing on us.
