I am always noticing printables. There’s just something about a cute graphic to frame, use to make a gift tag, or include in my Christmas decor in a fun way. This chalkboard style reindeer games Christmas printable from Jenn at Clean and Scentsible is fabulous and she shares some super cute ways to use it for Christmas decorating.
If you’ve been following along here for any length of time, you know how much I LOVE bits of nature in my home decor. And I like easy DIY projects. So when I discovered this so easy and cute rustic wood Christmas wreath at Pastels and Macaroons I just had to share it with you. I think it would be equally as fun with natural bark, or with painted bark. Such a clever idea for those wanting a rustic Christmas look.

I have dreams…of crafting again. If I do, I like the twig wreath. Isn’t it grand in it’s simple ness?!! I had a branch break and ohhh I was so tempted to save branches but it was others cutting, stacking, loading and hauling off!!! But just thinking about it makes me feel happy. The other project I’ve followed since you first posted has a memory. I went to a one room schoolhouse and the older ones ( my brother and sister!) got to fold pages of Readers Digest magazines to make the tree. Then our teacher took them outside and spray painted them green. I thought it the grandest gift anyone could ever make!!!! I have lots of old Christian novels that I ordered when my youngest was 13. My mom and I read. So a book is no problem. But if I made one I’d be thinking back on our happy times in that small school on a plot of prairie.
Oh Gwen, those would be such pleasant memories to enjoy while you folded the pages. What a special teacher she was to have you make those trees. I wonder if she was your inspiration for becoming a teacher?
Happy Thanksgiving!!
