Are you a fan of gold or silver or some other metal in home decor?

If I choose to decorate with metallic elements at Christmas, I usually choose gold.

Last year I stepped out of my ‘gold box’ and dipped my toe in some silver spray paint.

The results were quite pleasing.

Humbled and blessed.

Each week I “link up” at various blogs.  For those of you who don’t participate in link parties or are not a blogger, this is the bloggers’ equivalent to the social hour at The Chamber of Commerce or a business networking club.  Many of the hosting blogs will feature the most popular posts, or will feature their favorites.  This week…the following host blogs featured a few of my posts. And yes…I am amazed at the number of features I received.  I think someone needs to pinch me…is it really true?  I am truly blessed to receive this blessing so many times over.

Living Well Spending Less    ~    Making the World Cuter    ~    Carrie This Home

Maison de Pax    ~   Dukes and Duchesses    ~    Oh My! Creative    ~    Elizabeth and Co.

DIY by Design    ~    A Delightsome Life    ~    The Charm of Home

Redoux Interiors    ~    Shabby Art Boutique    ~    Craft Dictator

Meegan Makes    ~    Reasons to Skip the Housework    ~    Craftionary

House of Rose    ~    Memories by the Mile    ~   West Street Story

On occasions, various blogs or websites will feature a crafting or inspirational post.  Sometimes, it might be a round-up of some type, or maybe just a tutorial to share with their readers how they were able to craft something.  Again…I am truly honored to have been featured here this past week:

Homemade Home Ideas    ~    Tatertots and Jello    ~    Design Dining and Diapers

Green Willow Pond    ~    Green Me    ~    Art and Sand

My Christmas Present…

It’s not at all what you might think.  Instead….I’m asking YOU to give me a Christmas present.  I really need to get our Facebook page up to 1000 fans.  We surpassed 800 this week and I’d love it if we could hit 1000 before New Year’s Day.  I know it’s a big challenge…would you help me?

Here’s how…

  1. If you haven’t liked An Extraordinary Day on Facebook…please do it now!  Thank YOU so much!!
  2. Right now Facebook isn’t giving photos much weight, so you may not be seeing them, and for that very reason I share more text updates.  But, having said that, it’s often easier to share a photo than just text.  So…if you see a text update from An Extraordinary Day in your feed…would you click on it and then find a photo you like on the page and share it?
  3. Better yet….invite your friends to like An Extraordinary Day, too.

Thanks for all your help with this.  You make my day!!

So tell me…what present are you most looking forward to giving on Christmas?

Wishing you an Extraordinary weekend!

  1. WOW that’s a lot of places posting/referring to your ‘stuff’. No doubt you do feel a bit ‘chuffed’ at the recognition. I guess I didn’t understand the implications of the folks who link to your posts. That’s a very cool thing in this web world.
I’m merely an observer that steals bits here and there and enjoys the whole that other folks pull together so well. LOL Oh, but I can understand their choices to post/link to you. How cool! Congratulations!
I’ll have to do some dropping in and nosing around! 😉
In the meantime–let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!!
    C’mon…….think snow angels!!! 😀

    • Mel…I am grateful for the recognition. And it proves to me that God can do much with the little we offer when we offer our best. Thanks for rejoicing with me.

Snow…oh my….we’ve got it now!! And cold too!!
Bundle up before your dump yourself in the snow to make those angels. [wink] 🙂
