Have you ever had a hard day and out of the blue a stranger flashed you a big smile as you entered a building? Have you sent a friend an encouraging text or message? Have you lent a helping hand only to have the person you assisted express overwhelming gratitude for your small kindness?
When I came across these wonderful life words by Zig Ziglar…
Among the things you can give and still keep are your word, a smile, and a grateful heart.
immediately I remembered that the best things we can give are not only FREE for us to give… but those gifts return to us in double measure.
So in the spirit of freely giving…I created a FREE 5×7 version of this

The colors are so pretty and soft. I hope you’re able to print it out and find a sweet spot so you can be reminded to give generously each day these very things.
We all get so busy…
caring for our families, keeping our heads above the water with our workloads, adding to our to-do-lists with countless activities and obligations… it’s just too much sometimes. Those are the moments when we need to re-set our prospectives and look at what we do in the light of being a blessing.
The beauty of this is…
that those free gifts we give of a kind word, a smile, and a grateful heart come back to us. It’s like the verse that reminds us that we reap what we sow. Let’s sow generously into the lives of others. It’s an unselfish act that reaps untold benefits. You may never be able to see and count the results of those smiles and kind words, but I am absolutely certain that those very kindnesses will come flowing back to you.
Live joyfully and expectantly today.
And… if you’re feeling especially generous… download and print off several life words printables and share them with your friends. Who knows what will happen from your thoughtful act of kindness.

What an encouraging post. I’m glad you had the 52 ways to encourage others list below it. I’m giving a short share time in May to a small group of women. We’ve studied two types of books encouraging us to be Titus 2 women. This list will be a handout I will share with credit to you , at An Extraordinary Day. It fits perfectly.
I noticed my suggestion at the end…that was a long time ago for that friend has moved three times since then!! But I still hear the distant trains at night and pray for her ??
There are so many great ideas from this list and even more appropriate as we’ve shifted to a society of texting!
Happy Day.
