Hello, friends! Thanks for coming by!
Raise your hand if you play Pickleball. I had never heard of America’s fastest growing sport until I moved back to Michigan. One of my dearest friends plays all the time, and this weekend she played in a tournament. I went and so enjoyed watching her do what she loves and doing well, too.
For those of you who don’t know what Pickleball is… I would describe it as a variation on tennis with a much smaller but similar looking court, it uses a racketball sized racket that is more like a ping pong paddle and the ball is a wiffleball and the matches are much much shorter than tennis. If you’re curious… you can find out more here. I think I just might have to give it a try soon.
Next weekend, we’ll be celebrating dads. My dearly loved dad has gone on to heaven, but I just know he would have loved it if I would have made him one or more of these creative Father’s Day gift ideas from last week’s edition of Project Inspire{d}.
Be sure to check them out and be prepared to fill up your Pinterest board with fabulous gift ideas for the men in your life.

Diane, Are you living in Michigan now? If so, welcome back and which part of the state are you in? We’ve been familiar with Pickleball for almost at least 7-8 years. We learned it in Florida and my husband played in two tournaments, winning first place our last year in Florida. We still have our paddles, but because of my knee replacement, I was advised not to play this anymore. My husband keeps talking about getting back into it again.
Yes, Carol we are! I’m a mitten state girl who LOVES the lakeshore. 😉
7-8 years? Where have I been?!. I talked with a gal who said she’s been playing Pickleball for 15 years. Crazy!
I’m so sorry that you’ve been restricted by your knee replacement. I did see a few gals who were playing with some major apparatus around their knees/legs… which came off after they were done playing. I can imagine that it would be hard on the knees with all the foot planting and twisting.
Thanks for stopping by Carol. Hope your week is extraordinary in every way!
Hi Diane – thank you so much for hosting. My Dad is gone as well, but I always keep him in my thoughts at Father’s Day. Happy Tuesday and I hope your week is amazing!
I’m sure you treasure those special memories, Cindy.
Thanks for joining in the fun and sharing your amazing creativity with us. {{hugs}}
My dad has been gone for many years now too but every Father’s Day he is in my remembrance. A strict, sometimes harsh man, whose heart became as soft as a child’s later in life when he encountered Jesus. When he retired from work he took up the hobby of building furniture in his workshop. Standing at his workbench he would talk to Jesus, sometimes even blowing kisses to Him as he prayed. I follow in his footsteps 🙂
Thank you for hosting my friend,
Patti
Patti… your story speaks so wonderfully to the transformation we receive in Jesus. Thanks for sharing that sweet memory of your dad. 🙂
Hope your week is extraordinary!
