Mason jars are a staple of summer entertaining and decor. Sometime ago, I was blessed with many authentic vintage Ball jars and use them as flower vases and hurricanes for tea candles all summer long. Are Mason jars a part of your summer, too?
Last summer, I decided to dress up a Mason jar with pleated book page collars. So many people commented that they wanted to know how to make them, that I put together a tutorial. On the chance that you, too, might enjoy dressing up your Mason jars…. here’s the tutorial.
And now…on to our party!

Welcome to Project Inspire{d}!
We have had some of the most beautiful summer days lately with wonderful cool nights. The only thing that would make it better would be for the mosquitoes to go away. I can’t tell you how many bites I got while planting flowers last night. And mosquitoes usually don’t even like me. I guess those sub-zero winter temperatures didn’t have any impact on those pesky critters. Haha!!
Speaking of summer….you all have been linking up some extraordinary summer ideas. Here are just a few, of the many, inspiring projects that caught the eye of my co-hosts, and mine too.
Features from Last Week’s Party
My Pick….
If you were to offer me an array of sweet treats…I would almost always choose a cookie first.
I love cookies. And yes, I’m a fan of chocolate too. And caramel.
Which means that I can OD on Twix bars. It has it all going on.
So when Allie said she made cookies with Twix bars I started salivating,
and then she said she added bacon. Oh my! That sounds entirely decadent doesn’t it?
Raise your hand if you, too, want to try a Twix Bacon Cookie.

Malia’s Pick…
What is there about sea glass that we love so much?
We can imagine all kinds of stories and folklore for those pieces we discover along the shoreline.
If you don’t have a shoreline near you, or you want a whole sea glass jar, rather than a shard,
you’ll appreciate this tutorial by the talented Carolyn.

Stephanie’s Pick…
I love the color and pizzazz pomegranate gives a dish.
But Carolyn took it another step and made a colorful and refreshing beverage with her pomegranates.
