Day 20
Today was Tim’s day off. Generally we like to do something special….after a few chores are completed….like raking countless tarp-loads of leaves. Oh…no….raking the leaves wasn’t the something special! Haha!
After the chores we walked to a local Italian restaurant for a late lunch.
I had been fretting that I didn’t have all my 31 days blog posts planned and didn’t know what to do.
I wasn’t feeling very creative.
Then, Tim had a fabulous idea!
Since he is used to me always carrying my camera and stopping to freeze that “fabulous shot” when we go for walks…I thought this was not only a great idea…but demonstrated his incredible patience with me.
He suggested that we count 100 steps and stop.
Wherever we were….at that point…I was to take a picture of whatever I could see.
It was quite a challenge.
And a fun one too!
We began this photo journey in the street in front of our house.
Are you enjoying the journey?
We are blessed that we live in a lovely town.
That makes it easy to want to get out and walk around it.
We often meet interesting people along the way.
These are just a few of the little things that make our journey an extraordinary one.
There is so much beauty around us….I haven’t gotten tired of walking the same streets for the year I’ve lived here.
Thanks for taking the journey with me. What was your favorite photo?
Living life to the full…choosing to find what’s lovely and interesting around us…that’s being extraordinary.
You too can go for a 100 step photo journey. You never know what extraordinary goodness awaits you!
Wishing you an Extraordinary weekend of discovery!
Diane

Hi Lindsey! Thanks for popping by!
I love fall too…at least until I need to wear mittens! Brrr.:D
You are blessed indeed living in such a beautiful place! It soooo made me miss living in Wisconsin! Fall makes me very nostalgic about it… Texas is not the same at all! Beautiful pictures! What a great challenge!
(oh! I stopped by from SITS)
Hi Paloma! I don’t ever want to take the beautiful seasons for granted. Thanks for enjoying “the journey” with me.
Hope your weekend is fabulous!
I especially enjoyed Tim’s idea of stopping every 100 feet and you did a beautiful job of taking beautiful pictures!
I liked all of them, but I have to say the last one with the tree and the yellow leaves takes my breath away.
The journey was fun Diane and I am sure you will receive inspiration as you go on your journey.
Blessings dear friend! Keep traveling through the neighborhood!
