Psalm 89 :: Scripture Photo - Niagara Falls :: AnExtraordinaryDay.net

God! Let the cosmos praise your wonderful ways,
the choir of holy angels sing anthems to your faithful ways!
Search high and low, scan skies and land,
you’ll find nothing and no one quite like God.
The holy angels are in awe before him;
he looms immense and august over everyone around him.
God-of-the-Angel-Armies, who is like you,
powerful and faithful from every angle?
You put the arrogant ocean in its place
and calm its waves when they turn unruly.
You gave that old hag Egypt the back of your hand,
you brushed off your enemies with a flick of your wrist.
You own the cosmos—you made everything in it,
everything from atom to archangel.
You positioned the North and South Poles;
the mountains Tabor and Hermon sing duets to you.
With your well-muscled arm and your grip of steel—
nobody trifles with you!
The Right and Justice are the roots of your rule;
Love and Truth are its fruits.
Blessed are the people who know the passwords of praise,
who shout on parade in the bright presence of God.
Delighted, they dance all day long; they know
who you are, what you do—they can’t keep it quiet!
Your vibrant beauty has gotten inside us—
you’ve been so good to us! We’re walking on air!
All we are and have we owe to God,
Holy God of Israel, our King!

Psalm 89:15-18

The Message

Sometimes we need to be reminded of our wonderful, good and loving God, and His power, and His majesty.

In the midst of my inner struggle…I found my place as I read these verses.

Though my circumstances didn’t change one bit….my heart found calm and solace…the result of  the passwords of praise.

Do you know the passwords of praise?

Joy Day! :: Niagara Falls :: AnExtraordinaryDay.net

It’s Joy Day!

The day when we count ‘seven’ gifts.  Whatever it is that has blessed our past week.  The good, and the wish it weren’t so, things too.  Please join me in this exercise toward JOY.  There is something about it that helps us to breathe, relax, and discover joy.

I’ll start!

God, I thank you for…

  1. a worshipful service & a message that resonated in my heart
  2. two dear friends who sent their love
  3. the gift of lasagna, fritata, salads, and nuts
  4. a week of the most views ever on the blog
  5. that assurance that You will never leave us or forsake us
  6. a sister who doesn’t know me who wanted to bless me
  7. an overnight visit from my dear dear friend

Now it YOUR turn!!  Please scroll down to “Share Your Thoughts” and tap in your ‘seven.’
When we count and give thanks….joy comes.  I’m pretty sure you need more joy, too.

If this counting does for you what it does for me, then you just might want to take the Joy Dare here.

Let’s join with the cosmos in praising His wonderful ways!

  4. Those are incredible, breath taking photos….partnered with powerful words, perfectly. In all things, I praise G-d. But alas, not perfectly…some times I require a bit of a nudge. I’ll consider this one. I can so easily get sidetracked. *sigh*
    Ah, but the joys…
