Winter swept in yesterday…
bringing the darkest skies, strong winds, and a small accumulation of crystals to scrape off the sidewalk and windshield. After a wonderful and unseasonably warm entrance, Winter definitely turned her heel. One day we’re “enjoying” temps in the low 40’s with rain and fog and the next… temps are in hovering in the teens. Gosh it feels cold! Since there is a layer of ice under all this beauty, I think I’ll wait a day or two before hitting the walks and roads for my daily constitutional. Instead, I think I’ll roast a chicken tonight to turn into chicken soup. That sounds sooo good right now. It’s my favorite. What’s your favorite food or soup or beverage to warm you up when the temperatures drop?
One thing I’ve learned… no matter how much we do or don’t like all that Winter has to offer… we need to embrace her. Here’s a fun craft idea from the past that you can spend an evening doing together as a family…

Diane, we are definitely in the midst of winter. We had wind chills of 1 above this afternoon and they’re predicting more snow tonight and tomorrow. Brrrrrr!
Brrrrr is right!! But aren’t we fortunate to have winter be so slow in coming? Now I’ll cross my fingers in hopes that she make an early exit too. 😉
Thanks for partying with us Carol! Have a blessed week!
