Yet in the light of day, the Eternal shows me His love.
When night settles in and all is dark, He keeps me company—
His soothing song, a prayerful melody to the True God of my life.
Psalm 42:8 ~ The Voice
Isn’t it comforting to know that all day long God demonstrates his love for us?
Isn’t it comforting to know that in the dark of night…God is with us?
Isn’t it comforting, at the end of the day, to remember what God has done for us and recount it to him?
This is a way to put order in a stress filled day or to qualm anxious thoughts.
There is one thing though. It’s dependent upon us.
He’s already done all the work.
It’s up to us to receive it.
It’s Joy Day!
The day when we look back over our past week and count.
Count the good and the not so good. Just seven.
And we give thanks for it. All of it.
I’ll start…
I’m grateful God for…
- cold…which helps me realize how blessed I am to be sheltered against the cold.
- that last little bit of hair color…just enough.
- friends who pray.
- Valentine’s Day and the fun of creativity.
- my sweet little cat now thriving on her home cooked chicken and broth.
- my love and his love for the Lord.
- tomorrow.
Now it’s your turn!

What a beautiful & comforting verse. Seven things I’m grateful for is 1. A roof over my head; it’s not big or fancy but when I think of all the people who are homeless I realize just how lucky I am. 2. My car. It is old with a lot of mileage on it, and the front bumper is badly dented. But it’s still running and allows me to get back and forth to where I need to go. 3. My health, especially when I haven’t been taking that great of care of myself because of a lot of stress I have been under. 4. My pets. I’m not a typical thirty something. Most people my age go out and drink and do drugs and are Promiscuous. I do not live my life like this and because of that do not have many friends. My pets bring me so much joy and keep me from feeling lonely. 5. I’m thankful that I’m not going hungry 6. I’m thankful for TV ministry. Sometimes I wake up at night worried about the direction our country is headed and I am turn on the TV and watch a sermon and I feel so much better. 7. I am thankful that god loves me and I can talk to him anytime I need.
1. I have a warm house to be in with the arctic storm we’re weathering.
2. I’m graced with a loving spousal unit who panics but supports me as I trudge through the physical stuff that comes after ORIF surgery.
3. I get loved by my Creator, no questions asked.
4. I get to be present for others in need.
5. Sunrises at the dam have brought me the much needed peace to keep moving.
6. The bit of a reprieve in the frigid-ness got me out for a small wander about.
7. I was able to make it to PT Friday….cuz it ain’t happening Monday. LOL
Breath taking photos….and the reminder that He keeps me company made me smile.
*sending prayers for you and yours*
Thanks 1. Sitting looking out my front window watching the different trees, birds, squirrels, each uniquely made by our great and loving creator. 3. That God has gradually restored enough health to me so that I can do a little more. 6.The computer that keeps me linked to you. 7. The Christian blogs (and others) I am continually led to.
I’d written seven joy day things and I must have hit something. It watched as it all went away and it went back to the opening page. I’d left the post to copy these things regarding
Joy the email Bible Study on John is going well. Our leader when we were teens shared the real meaning of believe in John 3:16
to trust in, rely on, and adhere to.
So So that all who believe, trust in, rely on, adhere to Him shall be saved. I love that more.
Then she led us to realize God is all knowing through the Samaritan woman at the well. She encouraged us each to read Psalm 139. I did! Which encouraged me to write to a new Mom and send the quote of the verses of I am wonderfully made to say I know you really understand these verses more now. Could you pray them over new baby for they live so far far away now? So I had seven other blessings that led to these blessings as well! Plus I prayed the wind of fifty mph winds to stop for my family gathering for my moms 96 th birthday celebration and the day was warm and sunny!! Blue blue skies!!! And she did great on the more than two hundred mile trip. Her children and grandchildren sooo happy!!!
