The best thing about Fall Nesting is bringing the outdoors in.
It truly makes my heart sing.

So, when I came across this image on my Fabulously Fall Pinterest board I knew I had to share it with you.
It is just the reminder I need to go on a scavenger hunt. Clippers in hand. Seeking out the beauties of the season to capture and enjoy.
Maybe it’s a bunch of leaves you can stick in a vase of water. I did that yesterday. [big cheesy grin]
Maybe you can clip the last few flowers in your garden, before the frost comes, and enjoy them on the counter next to your sink.
Or maybe, you can find some chestnuts, or buckeyes, or some other type of nut or fruit to collect and display in a shallow bowl.
Can you guess what I’m going to be doing today?
Clippers in hand, I’m going exploring.
Who knows what I’ll find.
I might even put together a tray of nature’s delights like the one here.
Today…let’s be extraordinary!
Let’s do a bit of Fall Nesting…outdoors style!
Let’s enjoy God’s creation with abandon!
Off on an Extraordinary adventure…
Diane

Happy Exploring!
Oh Kathy….I just came back from the best walk and a plastic bag filled with “treasures.” And then there are all the photos, too!! It was just what I needed. We’ll have to see what happens next. 😉
So nice stopping by, Diane! Lovely blog and filled with such encouraging and helpful tips!
Kindly, Lorraine
You are so kind, Lorraine. 🙂 Thank you!!!

My two year old grandson brought me four leaves! Then kept dropping them. Tired of carrying them?? My daughter nestled them on a tray with a burlap base and two candles. I. Think studying the colors of the Bradford pears fall leaves is my favorite. My students would bring me armloads!
I love that your little sweetie brought you leaves, Gwen. Today we went for a walk and I brought home some fun bits of nature. Tomorrow I plant to clip more from the garden. I hope I can arrange it artfully. It was sooo fun. And I got the most amazing photos…well at least I hope I did. They still need to be downloaded to the computer.
How thoughtful of your daughter to nestle the leaves in such a perfect spot. 🙂
I think eating Bradford pears is the best. 😉 Heehee!!
Hope your week is Extraordinary!! 🙂
Oh, I love to go on nature scavenger hunts. Some of the best things are right under our noses. Yesterday I passed a yard with huge mushrooms popping up. I wished I had time to stop and gather them for drying.
Thanks for the inspiration.

It is sooo fun, Ginger!! Yesterday I spotted some tiny mushroom puff balls. I don’t think that’s their official name…but they sure were cute. I wonder if they were edible? Hope you get a chance to enjoy this gorgeous fall weather! 🙂
May your day be blessed!

Oh! OH!! Oh man…..makes me wanna grab the clippery things, a bag and follow suit! It’s one of my favoritest things to do when fall finally arrives. Thinking it’s not allowed, but I’ll get my “happys” vicariously through yours! That’ll beat the initial ‘envy!!’ that shot through me. LOL And the photos–Oh, I hope they turned out for you.
I did get stuffed into the Jeep sideways yesterday…..and got to see the beginnings of the turn for our trees. I always worry I’ll miss it and generally, I’m way early. Just anticipation on my part, I’m sure. 😉
Oh, what fun for you–and what a ‘refreshment for the soul’.
Haha! I have yet to check out the photos. My fingers are crossed!!
I know! Maybe that wee bug of your could go on a hunt and bring you here treasures. That would be fun!!! Okay…I know…that’s me doing what I do….. 😉
Stuffed in sideways!!!!! Well…that’s where the best view is anyway…yes? You may be way early…but then again…my favorite part of fall is the beginning. Glad you were able to get out. Hope you have lots more of those too! 🙂
