Okay, I confess.
My heart goes pitter patter whenever
I see a collection of red, white, and blue.
What about you?
Does your heart sing for the all-American colors, too?
Just for fun today, I thought I’d share with you a few ideas
that I’ve been collecting on Pinterest.
I may, or may not, have guests coming for the holiday. It’s a little tricky when a holiday is right smack dab in the middle of the week. Regardless I’ll be ready with all the fun things that I’ve pinned. That is if I actually get working on them. But, first on my to-do list is painting my new canvas rug for my back porch. More on that later.
There are Pinwheels!
Have you ever made one. I have no idea why I haven’t tried my hand at these yet. I’m quite certain that where ever I stick a pinwheel a smile will erupt. Lots of pinwheels. Lots of smiles!

A Patriotic Wreath!
I’ve always thought it would be great to create a Red, White, & Blue wreath for the 4th of July. This one by Michelle from The Scrap Shoppe has just the right touch. Rich colors, a little bit of whimsy, and a touch of country. Though I’m not a country decor girl, I do like a bit of it for my Independence Day celebrations.
You can make your own using Michelle’s great tutorial!
Patriotic Subway Art to Frame!
Usually for the 4th of July I’ll create what my friend Rochelle calls a moment. It’s a unified collection of lovely items that together create a moment. That something special that draws your eye and makes you want to linger and enjoy that collection of objects. I like to have a photo or piece of framed art to add to my little grouping. And this bit of subway art is perfect. Plus, Janet from Today’s Fabulous Finds has created eleven choices in color and pattern of this patriotic design.
It’s a FREE printable, too!
