The Valentine bug has hit me.  My head has been whirling with projects.

This little project from last year is one that I enjoyed way beyond Valentine’s Day.  It just made my heart smile.  So, I thought I’d bring it out from the archives.  And, since this little blog has grown a lot since last year, you probably missed it the first time around.  It’s super easy and you can follow the framed dimensional heart tutorial here.

My Picks….

I am really itching to play with paint and furniture, so when I spied Christy’s amazing table transformation, I totally flipped.  I love the colors, but I was especially smitten with the wonderful graphics.  Christy makes it look really easy, but I’m pretty sure it’s talent with the paint brush.

I’m a calendar keeper.  You too?  I’ve done all kinds of things with old calendars including frame them.  So when I saw this totally cute gallery wall made of clipboards and old calendar art…well yes…I totally flipped!

I have a personal question….have you cleaned your oven since baking all those holiday goodies?  Seriously, our oven is in use daily and it needs a thorough cleaning.  Here are some tips for cleaning between the glass on the oven door, fume-free cleaning, and an easy way to get those oven racks sparkling.

Raise your hand if you’re still planning on whipping your office or craft room into shape.  I see lots of hands out there in blogland. [wink]  Angela has done a lot with her small space and made it classy too.  Wouldn’t you enjoy writing or crafting in this space?

Mary Beth’s Pick…

I’ll let you all in on a little secret.   Shhh….  I have a huge weakness for tea towels.  Great amounts of willpower are necessary to prevent me from looking at every display and walking home with a lovely tea towel.  [sigh]  Okay…I feel better now.

What’s better than picking up a beautiful Anthropologie tea towel?  Making one yourself!!  Don’t you agree?  Katie’s knock-off is soooo cute!

Malia’s Pick

Don’t you love Tic Tac Toe boards?  Whenever I see one on a coffee table, I just have to play it.  With Valentine’s Day around the corner, this is a fun project for throwing around a few extra X’s and O’s.

Stephanie’s Pick…

I love this idea of creating art for a child’s room with special personal mementos.  These shadow boxes not only decorate a child’s room beautifully, but some day will be treasures to be passed on.

Funny thing…once again I cruised through and really liked the clipboard gallery idea. So much thst I was scavenging around for some antique ones to toss on the coffee nook wall. I haven’t landed on it yet, but I was playing with the idea using vintage pri ts or cards/postcards.
Wow….and now there are 244 more ideas to investigate. Whee!! LOL

    • Diane says

Oh Mel! I love the idea of antique prints and postcards. 🙂 A lot!! Don’t you love how one inspiration leads to another?
I dare you to check out the next 244!! Haha!!! 🙂
