Memorial Day, a Day of Remembrance.
What a debt of gratitude we owe to those who have given their lives in sacrifice for our dear country. May God’s protection, guidance, and blessing be on each one currently serving and their families. And may we never forget the cost.
I admit it, I’m a pretty patriotic gal.
Usually, each year between Memorial Day and Independence Day I like to decorate with red, white, and blue around my house to show my country’s colors. Last year, I put this little window vignette together. Maybe it will inspire you to decorate with red, white, and blue around your house, too.
Memorial Day is usually our first unofficial first day of summer.
It has been a glorious warm summer day here. We enjoyed a backyard picnic with all the usual fare. I hope you and your family are enjoying the day and creating many special memories.
Last week I promised that I would start a new feature series on Saturdays.
You didn’t see it? Me either. I didn’t pick the best week to begin. How about next week? And if you have an idea for a great name…I’d love to hear it!!
And now…on to our party!
