This has been a week of COLD temperatures. Brrrrrrrrrr…..
Many of you are experiencing super cold weather and snow. Here in Michigan we’ve had both and the forecasters are saying we can look forward to the temps dropping well below zero for a few nights. I get the chills just typing that out. 😉
Yesterday I took one of my cameras outdoors to snap a few photos in the cold and snow, only to have the battery immediately fail because it was so cold. I went back in for my telephoto camera and snapped this.
When I was growing up, Michigan’s slogan was “Water, Winter, Wonderland.” That slogan has since changed to “Pure Michigan.” So when I noticed the snow on my car’s bumper covering everything on the license plate up to the slogan, it sort of cracked me up, thus the photo. What’s more pure than the driven snow? Since the state is thickly covered with snow… the slogan seems pretty apt at the moment.
Let me leave you with one more photo… a bit more beautiful.
With all this snow and cold, it’s time to spend some indoors time getting creative.

Wow! What a nice Saturday surprise! Thanks for the feature Diane!
You are so welcome, sweet friend!
Hope your weekend is blessed!
by the way, we are freezing in the deep south too! No snow thank goodness, but 19 degrees this am in Birmingham Alabama, Brrrrrrr
Oh my goodness Jenna…. that is too cold for your neck of the woods. Stay warm!!
Chilly in Dallas as well! Loved your snow pictures! Especially liked the woods !
Oh NO! Stay warm!!
Thanks Lucy! I had fun taking the photos. God’s so creative with the way he paints the snow. 😉
It’s been 60-80 here in San Diego. Forecasting rain tomorrow – Yay!
I’d say you had perfect weather. Rain is a good thing too. Are you still in the drought?
We will never catch up on this drought. We went from Feb. to Dec. before we had any rain. Hopefully the Santa Ana winds won’t come soon. You have tornadoes and snowstorms and we have Santa Anas that push wildfires for miles. Every region has some problem. So, yes, we have perfect weather most of the time but Mother Nature bites us in the butt every once in a while to remind us that SHE is in charge!
Oh I remember the horrible time you had, not all that long ago, with those awful fires and winds.
Praying you have just the right amount of rain. 🙂
Thanks! We could use all the rain we can get!
Great projects! Thanks so much for featuring my chalk painted console table! BTW, it looks SO COLD where you are, but it is pretty!
You are so welcome Lauren! Thanks for sharing your talents with us. 🙂
Yes… it was as cold as it looks, but today we have a reprieve, it’s in the low 30’s, but tomorrow we’re dropping below zero. Brrrr. 😉
