Psalm 42:8 :: Comforting words of God's love :: AnExtraordinaryDay.net

Yet in the light of day, the Eternal shows me His love.
When night settles in and all is dark, He keeps me company—
His soothing song, a prayerful melody to the True God of my life.
Psalm 42:8  ~  The Voice

Isn’t it comforting to know that all day long God demonstrates his love for us?

Isn’t it comforting to know that in the dark of night…God is with us?

Isn’t it comforting, at the end of the day, to remember what God has done for us and recount it to him?

This is a way to put order in a stress filled day or to qualm anxious thoughts.

There is one thing though.  It’s dependent upon us.

He’s already done all the work.

It’s up to us to receive it.

    What a beautiful & comforting verse. Seven things I’m grateful for is 1. A roof over my head; it’s not big or fancy but when I think of all the people who are homeless I realize just how lucky I am. 2. My car. It is old with a lot of mileage on it, and the front bumper is badly dented. But it’s still running and allows me to get back and forth to where I need to go. 3. My health, especially when I haven’t been taking that great of care of myself because of a lot of stress I have been under. 4. My pets. I’m not a typical thirty something. Most people my age go out and drink and do drugs and are Promiscuous. I do not live my life like this and because of that do not have many friends. My pets bring me so much joy and keep me from feeling lonely. 5. I’m thankful that I’m not going hungry 6. I’m thankful for TV ministry. Sometimes I wake up at night worried about the direction our country is headed and I am turn on the TV and watch a sermon and I feel so much better. 7. I am thankful that god loves me and I can talk to him anytime I need.

    Then she led us to realize God is all knowing through the Samaritan woman at the well. She encouraged us each to read Psalm 139. I did! Which encouraged me to write to a new Mom and send the quote of the verses of I am wonderfully made to say I know you really understand these verses more now.
