Hope.

I can actually say I have hope.

Bible verse from Hebrews 6:19 Hope... an anchor for our souls #Anchorformysoul

The only reason I can say that is because…

This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.

Hebrews 6:19 (NLT)

Maybe you’re familiar with this verse.

One day as I was standing on the dock taking photos in the early morning light, it came to mind, and I had this peace wash over me.

No matter what happens each day, my anchor is the Lord.

If you’re familiar with this verse…

do you realize that there is a second part to the verse?

Here’s the second sentence in the verse…

It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

What is it that keeps you awake at night?

What is it that seems impossible?

My friend….this hope we have is Jesus…when we trust him he anchors us.

But even more than that, through Jesus, we have direct access to the Father.

Is your boat riding some pretty high waves?

Are you afraid that you’ll get swamped, or worse tossed into treacherous waters?

Call out to the Father and ask him to calm the seas.

Trust him to give you peace.  And hope.

After all….he is our hope.

Let him be your anchor.

Then you can go down in your boat and sleep with no worries.

No worries?

Most nights I put down my anchor…Jesus.

When I do… I sleep.

And you can too.

This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.
It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

Hebrews 6:19 (NLT)

    1. My dog getting help at the vet (she will be okay!)
    2. Celebrating new births!
    3. Jehovah Jireh – He is my provider!

    6. New books to read
    7. New songs to sing!

  2. 1. God is the same: yesterday, today and tomorrow.
    2. With God on your side, nothing can stand against you.
    3. Our bountiful harvest of tomatoes.
    4. That I’m almost done canning our bountiful harvest of tomatoes.
    5. A more organized system for my reading and reviewing.

Hi, Diane. I’ve not necessarily studied this verse, but it is wonderful. How appropriate for you to have a picture of the boat and anchor! That’s a wonderful photograph. 🙂 Thanking the Lord today for:
1- Contact from someone who betrayed me earlier this year. Healing.
    2- The privilege of prayer.
3- Your grace in the blessings of each day.
4- Your gift of the husband of Your choice for me.
5- The hope you continuously restore to me when I feel hopelessness setting in. (Thank you, Diane.)
6- The love you show through your people.
7- Forgiving me unconditionally and helping me learn to do the same.
I’m praying for you and Tim, Diane. Hugs!!

  7. I’m so thankful for the hope we have in Jesus and so thankful that I can approach my Father God boldly because of the work of Jesus Christ. I’m also thankful to be next to you at Barbie’s this week!
