Do you love attending home tours?

When you go on a holiday home tour, what are you hoping to see?

Holiday Home Tour :: 12 Days of Christmas :: AnExtraordinaryDay.net

I bet you’d love to take a tour of my home.  We can’t do that this year since everything I own is packed up in storage, but how about we push the button on the time machine and go back in time?

Are you ready?

Here’s a link to some holiday fun at my last house.

Be sure to ‘sign the guest book’ and let me know if you picked up any ideas or what you most liked.

Oh…you’re wondering about the 12 Days of Christmas?

We’re going to enjoy celebrating Christmas in some way every day.

It’ll be fun!

I liked going back in time because I feel I know you even more now so it’s even more fun to look at a friend’s special things transformed for these holy days.
I too am half Swedish (I’m a Swegian–other half is Norwegian) so I liked your tree! A number of years ago Martha Stewart had a tree in her collection of Swedish straw ornaments and I got a few. In the attic though. I did display my mom’s that my brother picked up in Sweden as well as a 9″ straw horse. Last summer to my delight my daughter and I spotted a large Swedish horse–size of a dog!!!–for a couple dollars!!! So I’m delighted to have him at my entry table. I do need to make a God Jul sign for him as I did the small one as none of my friends “got it”!!! But you would Diane!! It’s Joy Day tomorrow but although I’m still recovering my balance, so Im really drinking water and pedialyte, I was after a long nap, able to go to my husbands small company party.
And for you Diane, I’m glad you blog as it does keep your situation before us to pray.

You are ever the encourager and lover of life Gwen. Even in your present state you live life more fully than many. 🙂
Yes!! I would get your straw horse…how fun to have picked one up for a song.
I’m so excited that you were able to attend the party.
Keeping you in my prayers daily and trusting and believing for you to be up and dancing soon. (Yes…I actually pray that.)
[hugs] You made me feel so loved today.

I’m with Gwen…..that was a nice tour–given I saw a lot of ‘stuff’ that escaped my eye the first time through. You really do know how to put YOU in what you do. Whether that’s writing or decorating or showing us photos…your heart shows up.

Good things in my week were opportunities amidst the muck and mire. Seems I get plenty of both–which creates a nice balance for me as long as I manage to keep my perspective. (though I DO toss a fit when the internet disallows me to be ‘connected’……*sigh* I’m such a whiner….LOL)
I got to see the grandchild’s Christmas Concert and she rocked the Baby Jesus like no other–literally. LOL They’re so cute. And her small, private, Christian School is so centered on the joyful celebration. It was the highlight of my week–even with the hour plus on the road to get there.

    • Diane says

Haha! You aren’t alone when there are internet issues. 🙂
Your grandchild got to rock Baby Jesus?!!!!! That is the best! Oh my heart!!! I am so excited that you were able to attend her Christmas concert. Truly a treasure. Sorry she doesn’t live closer. :/

I am truly touched by your remarks and Gwen’s. Thank you for your sweet encouragement. It means so much. [hugs]

It is so much fun touring the web, isn’t it. Not having to deal with parking and tickets and maybe even snow. [wink]
Thanks for coming by Linda…you surely put a smile on my face. [hugs]

I hope your Christmas with less was in the end Christmas with more. Sometimes that’s the way we get to hear and experience more directly from God. 😉
