Today was a snow day for many people in our area.

With strong winds and temperatures dipping from the single digits to below zero, we have two choices….embrace winter or hop a plane to the tropics.

Since hopping on a plane really isn’t a possibility for most of us….take a peek of my new Winter Mantel, or how about we open the archives and see how I embraced the snowflakes and icicles, last year, by decorating the table for winter with red and white, here: Winter Table

My Picks….

I love the story Jacqui tells of how she transformed an ordinary desk and a cast-off chair into an extraordinary Christmas present for her daughter.  Whether you’re seven, seventeen, or twenty-seven….this desk set would be perfect in a bedroom or office.

How many times have you wished that your mirror reflected brightness in your room, but not a reflection of something across the way?  I love how Leslie solved the problem by antiquing the glass on her mirror.  It looks great and the frame is extraordinary too!

What a great idea to give an industrial edge to a piece of furniture and increase its practicality many times over by installing wheels.  I love Karen’s philosophy….just put a wheel on it!!  Okay four wheels!!  The farmhouse side table is extraordinary!
