Are you one of those blessed few to have you own creative space?

A sneak peek into my #craftroom at AnExtraordinaryDay.net

Here’s me, hair pulled back, no makeup, with my one and only selfie from my favorite camera, giving you just a peek into my favorite space through a vintage looking-glass.   That’s the way we bloggers roll.

The before photos don’t do the color justice. [wink] Here it looks like light greige, but in reality, it was much darker beige that turned to an odd reddish pink when the sun reflected off the dark brick-red siding into the room.  I couldn’t wait to repaint.

With new paint, the room came alive for me.  I was totally in love with the new color: Fountain Mist by Valspar.   It made the walls so bright, warm, and happy.  Plus painting the trim white really made everything snap.

Creative Craft Room ~ Sneak Peek ~ AnExtraordinaryDay.net

The other day as I was looking through some posts from last year, I came across this post.  Memories flooded back to the brief time I enjoyed this space.  It was the only time I have ever had a whole room dedicated and decorated just for my creative endeavors.  I’ve had corners that took over rooms, but this was the best.  I miss it right now.  A lot.  But, I’m looking forward to when I get into my new-to-me home and create my own crafting space again.

I hope you’ll click over to the craft room that now only lives in my memory.

Do you have a creative space in your house somewhere?

Speaking of makeovers….

Wow!  Every week you all inspire me with your amazing makeovers, delectable desserts, inspiring ideas, creative crafts and more.

I cannot wait to see what you bring to the party this week!

So, without further ado….

  1. Hi Diane!
Thanks so much for hosting another fun party!
    Have a great week,
    Suzanne

  2. Thanks ladies for the party, and thanks Diane for the feature of my Berry Trifle.

  3. Hi Diane! I completely understand about your crafting space – I was so excited about 8 years ago to re-do a room just for my crafting – though I would be beyond horrified to share a photo of that space now! 🙂 I promptly outgrew it in less than a year and getting it in shape needs to make it to the must-do list! Thanks for the inspiration and to you and the ladies for hosting the party. Have a fabulous week!

  4. Hey Sweet Lady! I am one of the very lucky few who has my own craft room. Of course, right now it looks like a storage closet. 😉

    Thanks for the fun party!
    ~ Ashley

  5. Your craft room looks great Diane! Thanks for hosting!
    Sherry

  6. Hi Diane,
Love the paint color in your previous craft room – so fun! I think we all create a bit of chaos while we are ‘creating’. It’s just part of the journey.
    Thanks for hosting the party.
    Suzanne
