A pause at the end of the week…
On the way to one of my favorite parks I would drive past this farm with barely a notice of the ancient delivery truck. As the branches bared their souls and the snow piled up it became noticeable. Each time I passed by, I would slow down and wonder about the past life of that lonely truck. One day I parked on the side of the road and trudged through deep snow to get close enough to shoot a few frames of shadow and twig and rust and snow. Will we grow old and sit abandoned like this assembly of steel? Or will we somehow manage to keep our bodies in tune and running, delivering blessings and making beautiful stories?

Lovely wintry scene…interesting how we can pass something again and again and then suddenly ‘see’ it… Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #71!
Thanks Madge. I wished that the photo had been a little bit better, but I loved the textures and images so much that I decided to go with it anyway.

Oh–such a familiar sight…..those ‘parking lots’ on the back 40 are sometimes a hoot, yaknow? Amazing what wonderful treasures are left for rusting–‘in case we need a part some day’ is what they tell themselves around here. Oh, but how many times do I pass by without a second glance.
Thanks for the nudge.
And thanks for the confession of the ‘notsosuccessfulresults’ projects. *laughing* I was beginning to think it was just ME! Oh my…..the things that have looked GREAT in my head……and were ‘epic fails’ in reality. Eeshhhh! 😉
I’m thinking that once that leg is all mended and strong, you are going to be on a photo journey all over you neck of the woods. Oh the fun you’ll have!
Oh no…it’s not you…I have plenty of “almosts!”
Hope your new week is extraordinary!

A beautiful winter scene for sure. Somehow the blanket of white makes everything seem so much more intriguing…what’s hiding under there?
Thank you Tracey. You are so right….the snow creates an other worldly feeling.
Hope your week is Extraordinary!
