Packing.  Packing.  And more packing.

That’s our agenda until we get everything packed up and moved.

Right now, we have a little more than half our “house” in storage.  Whew!  Three more days to get it finished.

I’m just a little bit stressed over the packing.  There’s our bedroom, my crafting studio, my Christmas and basket storage areas along with the things in the kitchen we are currently using…yet to be packed up.  [deep breath]  I have too much stuff.  I think you already knew that. [wink]  If it comes to mind….your prayers mean so much.

What's your gift? :: AnExtraordinaryDay.net

Everyone is gifted.  But most people never open their package.  ~Unknown

But, even in the midst, we need to stretch our legs.  So we took a walk down to the Diamond and discovered some plein air artists.  “Plein air” is an expression for “in the open air.”  These women had their easels set up at various spots painting the bandstand in the center of the Diamond.  It was interesting to see some different perspectives and colors and styles.  All expressing their “gift” in their own unique ways.

What’s your gift?

Is life too busy for you to unwrap your gift?

Or are you enjoying blessing others with your unwrapped gift?

I can’t wait to hear!!!!!

Now, dear gifted friend….go do something extraordinary with your gift!!

Wishing you An Extraordinary Day!

I’m praying for you and your too much stuff and packing it! I can so relate as with 46 years married and 46 year worth of stuff and all kids gone and husband saying we will be out of this big house in 2015–SCARY! I’m now telling all who come in my house “If you see anything you like let me know and you may be taking it home with you! I’d so rather have the stuff I love go to a person I love than garage sale or donate! My kids do not want the burden of dealing with it when I go to heaven. I told them if I’m in heaven have a big bon fire or give to NEW 2 YOU thrift store a church started–all proceeds go to help needy.–that would be my preference but there would still be packing and taking!

Thanks Glenda…I really appreciate your prayers. I think I picked up a box that was too heavy and in the middle of the night awoke with a great pain in my leg and inner hip area. Thanks for caring and praying. [hugs] ~Diane

May God give you lots of Peace and Strength through all your packing and moving, I know it can be an anxious time. I moved from Mexico back to the states 2 years ago this month. It was really a big step but I know that God always has a plan. I pray your back is healed in the Name of Jesus and I pray many blessings and prosperity upon you and your family. Hugs 🙂

    • Diane says

Amen! to your prayer Babette! 🙂 Thank you for your encouraging words.

Diane, today I thought of you & a good ole saying I have often used came to mind: “Many hands make light work.” I used it when our family joined another for a camping trip down in a lovely nat’l park in Chile. I used it as we brought up our three children, especially after mealtimes when water needed to brought to do dishes & so forth.

Right now I’m praying that God will send “many hands”–helping hands, affectionate hands, gentle hands–to help with all the work of packing, cleaning up, loading the truck/trailer, as it may be, & then on the other end, more hands to reach out to help you unload, unpack, clean up yet again, & whatever you will need help with there.

Throughout our 50+ years of married life, we have moved between 20-30 times. I had to quit counting because it seemed to depress or embarrass my husband. At almost every juncture, God sent wonderful, helpful people to give us a hand, literally, & we were so blessed by them.

I can’t physically be with you to offer my assistance, deliver a meal or dessert & coffee or help pack (I became an expert on overseas packing, w/only a couple of things broken over the many kilometers by land & sea), but I do offer my prayers on your behalf.

Dear Lord, Please send the needed help for this godly couple who is moving out of their current residence into…well, You know the next address You have selected just for them! Please lighten their load during all the preparations & upheavals. Cause the “goodbyes” to be softened, the tears few, the smiles many & their faith ever expanding; spreading & growing until they see the fulfillment of Your calling, purpose & provision at this precious time of their lives & ministry.
I pray this is the sweet name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ., thanking You in advance for the answer You are already sending. Amen.

Oh Carolyn….you are the sweetest soul. I can feel the love, and know that as the day wore on my work seemed easier. Until…I hit the wall…and popped by the blog to discover your warm thoughts, encouragement, and heartfelt prayer. I receive your words of blessing in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
