Do you struggle with keeping up with the laundry or any number of household chores? Over the years my housekeeping has been a bit of a roller coaster.  I love the highs when everything is running smoothly.  But, when I was overwhelmed with a job, a business, volunteering, fitness, and spending time in my garden.... my house was sometimes a complete disaster. I'm excited to share this Mini Video eCourse: 4 Simple Steps to Stress-Free Homemaking with you.  I love the practical tips and wish I'd learned them years ago.  On my own, I've made things work.  But, this is a plan that would have changed my world and … [Read more...]

There's something exciting about the New Year and a fresh start. So many new things await us. Recently my e-mail box had a very special invitation from Mary Beth of Cupcakes and Crinoline, to be a part of the hosting team for Project Inspire{d}.  I've been linking up my projects since Mary Beth birthed this link party and through that initial invitation we became blogging friends.  So of course I said, "Yes!"   I'm so blessed to join the gals who host Project Inspire{d} and hope you will plan to meet me here each week.   If you're a blogger....bring your most inspiring projects to the party … [Read more...]

Welcome to Day 28 of 31 Extraordinary Days to Be...  Or...simply: Be... Together, we will learn to Be… to live fully and beautifully in our “skin” and in our homes and beyond.  If you missed The Introduction or you'd like to follow the entire series, you can find each post listed here.   When I embarked on this #31Days series, and chose Hospitality as one of the weekly topics, I had plans for all kinds of things hospitality-minded.  But, as I began writing, I had an 'Ah Ha' moment.  I needed that 'Ah Ha' moment and so did some readers.  But....that totally turned my plans all upside down.  (You can … [Read more...]

Can you think of cleaning products in your kitchen that you can't live without? For me, I like chlorine free dishwasher detergent, absorbent dish towels, a natural and pleasant smelling dish soap, and a small pot scraper.  These products may change based on their availability and my budget. But, I don't equivocate when it comes to these two things:  Dobie Cleaning Pads and Bon Ami Powder Cleanser .  They are in constant use in my kitchen.  Honestly, I prefer these brands over other nylon scrubbies and powdered cleaners.     A question I hear from my Longaberger customers is: "How do I … [Read more...]

Copy Cat Challenge ~ with a twist! When DebbieDoos announced the challenge and added..."With a Twist"...she had me!!!!   Generally I'm not one who gets into copying something or someone.  I like to take the essence and do my own thing.   When I read the challenge, I immediately had something in mind. Back in May, Kristi of Addicted 2 Decorating did a series of posts about transforming her community patio into a restful and colorful place to relax.  She did a great job.  One of the things she did was to create her own Outdoor Rug with Painted Stripes.  I'd been thinking that my porch needed a facelift. … [Read more...]
