How to Plant a Window Box or Container - Tips & Tutorial :: AnExtraordinaryDay

When the weather gets warm, many of us start thinking about planting flowers.

How do I know this?  My tutorial on how to plant a window box or container is the most popular post here on the blog this weekend.

Some of you can already get started on your flower planting.  But, wherever we live, we need to wait until all danger of frost is over.  Here in the northern states…we can pretty much plan to plant things outside Memorial Day weekend.  But, I cannot wait [wink], so I get planting around Mother’s Day.  Still, I have a back up plan to bring in my smaller containers, cover my plants, or even get up early and sprinkle new plantings with the hose.  Mother Nature can be an awful tease.  I’ve even heard that we’re supposed to see some of that white stuff in June.  Crazy!!  Always have a plan B.  Always.

If you want terrific tips and tutorials for planting a spectacular container garden or window box this is for you. How to plant a window box or container.  Actually, if you want to do any container gardening, this is a must read.

And now…let’s get on to the fun!

My Picks….

Last week we established that yellow is one of my favorite colors.  And when it comes to spring and summer
I’m known to flip for a delectable lemon treat.  So, I got pretty excited when I spied this yummy lemon pie.
What makes it even more fun is that the meringue goes under the lemon filling rather than on top.
I can’t wait to try it!!
