Have you noticed them?Santa bringing home the tree in his bumper car with camper trailing. Christmas Trees on Cars Blog Hop

Christmas trees on cars?  Or maybe campers even?

I can’t tell you how many Christmas trees on cars we saw on our drive home at Thanksgiving.

We live near several Christmas tree farms, so really it should be no surprise.

There’s something wonderful about seeing a car (or truck) with a tree tied on.

There’s something special about bringing home a fresh-cut tree.

I like to think that each car I see is filled with joy and anticipation.

And I imagine the plans being made to decorate that perfect evergreen treasure for Christmas.

I guess those are the feelings that many of us share.

Which is probably why our hearts go pitter patter whenever we see photos or vignettes with Christmas trees on cars.

My friend and fellow blogger, Mary Beth from Cupcakes and Crinoline started a trees on cars Pinterest board.   One day she shared it on Facebook and it went viral.  It was out of that, she mentioned to me and the other Project Inspire{d} hostesses that it might be fun to have a Christmas trees on cars blog hop.  And so here we are today… with a few more blogging friends.

Trees on Cars Blog Hop featuring vintage cars, trucks, and printables.

I thought it was the greatest idea ever.

Except I had no idea what I would be able to do.

Finally the light when on!

Of course it helps to have good friends who have some fun things in their stash for you to use.

I went off to purchase a package of little trees from the local variety store and some Epsom salts from the drug store next door to it.

Armed with “cars” from my friend and supplies, I went off to create my version of Christmas trees on cars.

I have to say, I pretty much looked like a little kid, lying on the floor playing with my toys.

And yes… I had fun!

If you’re in love with these little vignettes, don’t hesitate to create your own.

You can tuck them in all kinds of fun little places… from jars to bowls to corners on the sideboard to the bookshelf and even the powder room.

I’d love it if you’d post a photo of yours on my Facebook page.

I can’t wait to see what you create!!  And share I’ll share it, too!

Awww… thanks Lili! The camper and Santa in bumper car pulling the camper and the tiny peddle car (the one with Santa in disguise) are all Hallmark Christmas ornaments. The others were acquired over the years.
