  4. I love your list. I never really loved Fall until we moved from CA to Western PA and I was blessed to see the breathtaking change of season when Fall arrived. The colors and the leaves and the crisp temperatures. Oh, I just love it all. We have certain Fall traditions we do every year that I also love which are corn mazes, pumpkin patches, making caramel apples and popcorn balls, and going to the local apple orchard for apple cider, apple butter, pumpkin butter, apple pies, and homemade candles in a variety of delicious smelling flavors. 🙂

    • Diane says

I agree! Fall in PA is really amazingly beautiful, Rosann. 🙂
It’s such a family time with all the activities you mentioned. I hope you and your family make many happy memories this year!
Thanks for popping by and leaving your thoughtful remarks!
      Wishing you An Extraordinary Day!
      ~Diane

  5. Mel says

Some of my favorites were on your list. And I’m happily greeting the changes. It’s begun here, going from 100 to 47 degrees was a definite “Hi!! I’m heeeere!” from the fall goddess. LOL. But I loved yanking on the sweatshirt and greeting the day just the same. I’d be miserable without the season changes. And I need the drama with how that plays out in the Midwest. LOL. There’s no doubt about which season you’re in, that’s for certain.
I look forward to you sharing your ‘nesting’. I might have to steal an idea or two…ones I can do from a seated position! 😉

    • Diane says

Oh Mel….100 to 47….Yikes! That’s like throwing cold water on the face for a wake up. 😉 Drama! That’s a good way to put it. And a very good thing. 😉
We’ll see how this all goes….today I made my head hurt trying to be creative in someone else’s space and with their stuff. Good grief….I thought it would be easier. [sigh] Oh well….I’ll be like Dory….”Just keep swimming…Just keep swimming….”

  6. Renee says

Fall is my favorite season and I normally can hardly wait to decorate for it. I love …….1. The smell of burning leaves 2. Gourds, pumkins, indian corn 3. Carmel apples and mulled cider 4.Football and Volleyball season 5. The colors 6. Halloween decorations 7. The nip in the morning and night air 8. Getting out my fall dishes, and Halloween baskets and liners 9. New fall tv shows, 10.Nesting and making our home cozy for the cold winter ahead. It was nice to think about this today with the flooding going on in Colorado and the mess to cleanup that there are things to look foward to.We have no damage to our home, but may to our storage unit and won’t know for a few more days till they can open that road so we can get there. We now have ways to get out of town that are shorter-roads have opened so no longer and extra 50 to 60 miles to get out and go to wk. No bathroom priv., or showers, laundry, dishes, etc. so it’s like camping out until they can fix our treatment plant, etc. But this two will pass and we will get thru this and if things are gone from our storage, it may be God’s way of telling me to Simplify!!!!!

    • Diane says

I LOVE your Fall favorites, Renee! 🙂
My thoughts and prayers are with you (and others) as you recover from that horrendous flood. Praise God your home is okay….I will trust with you for your storage unit too. What a challenge to get to work. Your water situation requires a lot of creativity and a good attitude. Yikes! You know…regardless of this weather event…I think God wants all of us to simplify. Our lives are too complicated on so many levels and it’s so easy to put HIM last rather than first.
May God bless you as you walk this road and soon may you enjoy the beauties of fall.
      [hugs]
      ~Diane
