  1. Happy Birthday!!! We must be cut from the same cloth because those are my favorite things as well. One thing I might add though is I like to knit, especially when it’s cooler outside. I love rainy cool days. I love the smell of autumn air and rainy days and the sound the rain makes when it hits the roof and sitting outside on the back porch taking it all in with knitting needles in my hands.

  10. Happy Thoughts for You Diane!!!
    1. It’s your BIRTHDAY and I’m smiling and singing Happy Birthday to You!!
And because I was a teacher and loved birthdays, we all said nice things about the BIRTHDAY child and shook their hand…so with a firm handshake and a hug just because I will make my next nine about YOU!! Served on a silver tray!!! With sprinkles of delight all around!! So here is my gift to you this fine day!
    2. Diane photographs something new for my eyes to behold and finds a verse or a quote that makes me reflect upon The Lord.
    3. Diane is a gifted hostess who enjoys making things tasty and pretty for her guests.
    4. Diane can mix an heirloom, a newly painted picture, a bit of nature and end up with a beautiful setting. Creative is Diane!!
    5. Diane makes new friends and keeps long lasting friendships and makes both feel special because she tells them so.
    6. Diane prays. It does not matter if the wind is blowing, the house did not stand, the floodgates have opened, Diane is firmly strong in her Faith and trust in her Lord to provide from His riches in glory. And as she waits and waits and little gifts arrive as she waits for daily provision, she gives GOD THE GLORY for even these little yet wonderful gifts…
    7. Diane can show us how to grow in faith, trusting our Lord, when our personal world has been shaken. She is giving others a personal example of what does one do when doors only close and nothing opens…and it’s a message from God’s Word and as Diane teaches us, she herself is reinforced in her faith.
    8. Diane has a wonderful imagination and an upbeat outlook on the world around her.
    9. Although faced with more loss, Diane continues to write us daily and what fun to see what spin her blog will take now in this new path. Thou wilt show me the path of life. In thy presence there is fullness of joy. At thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
    10. Diane has never met me. She has not met my Mom. But in a recent crisis that both of us were not well Diane prayed. And let me know. And praised with me when my Mom got better and prays for me who this last ordeal will take close to a year of recovery. She is a faithful pray-er. She devotes time to talk to God, her Friend, her Guidance, her Lord and Savior.
    Happy Birthday Dear Diane!!!!!

  15. Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday! I would list many of the same things you do! so to start:
    1. Yellow
    2. Early morning birdsong
    3. Bug song……locusts, crickets and katydids
    4. The fact that each bug species has its own schedule of song, and it also changes through the season. I could tell you how far along summer is by the sound!
    5. Hubby’s beautiful smiles and wonderful hugs
    6. Having all the cats hanging out with me for morning devotionals. Every day.
    7. Morning Coffee!
    8. Exercise
    9. Homemaking. Chores. Caring for my family.
    10. Canning homegrown produce…..gardening!

    • Yes! Bug song!!! I never thought about it in those terms….but this year I have enjoyed their songs ever so much. Some are very percussive and others almost melodic. And though you are right about how their tunes signify the changes in the season, there’s something about those songs that sadden my heart in knowing that summer is quickly fleeting.
Thanks for taking time to share your 10 and celebrate with me, Carol!!
      Blessings to you!!’
      ~Diane
